Fears around Career Change

Feeling stuck in a cycle? Almost like all you do is work, eat, pay bills, sleep, repeat?

Have you had a recent look at where your life is leading you? Are you feeling stuck in a rut that feels like its heading downhill? Does your future look bleak, dull or mediocre? Maybe it is time for a jailbreak out of your own life?...

Routines are not a bad thing when they help you feel in control of your life decisions and help you keep the momentum from day to day, however when it starts to deviate, it can limit your personal and professional growth.

The current world we live in has a vast array of opportunities. Everywhere you go and regardless of where you find yourself, if you seek for change, opportunity is bound to find you. If you believe in hard work and determination, use that! Channel your energy and efforts towards things that bring you joy. And if you believe, as a christian, as I believe, then we serve a God who turned a Shepherd into a King (David); a Persecutor into a Missionary (Paul); a Fisherman into an Apostle. He can change what you are and give you a new qualification.

To shift from where you are to where you want to be, you need to ask yourself a few questions:

  1. What are you currently doing & does it inspire you?

  2. What are some of your current passion projects/side hustles?

Stop waiting on someone else to push you. The fact that you've read up to here tells me something. That regardless of what you Take that class. Book that workshop. Start that fitness program. Withdraw from toxic friends. Order that book. Book that flight. Invigorate your prater life. Re-evaluate your goals. Refocus your energy on the things that matter. Renew your marriage vows. Do something selfless. Show kindness to a stranger.

Take a leap of faith towards that thing you have always wanted to do but have been too shy/afraid to do. A verse from the bible - Isaiah 43:19 says “See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Take a leap, and watch where your ideas take you.
